Welcome to our website . Want to give you some information on our lionhounds and what to expect from our pups. Our Bloodlines here at Desert Star are filled with some of the most beautiful, healthy, strong, well behaved RRs . The parents are shown to Champion title,OFA tested Hip Excellent and good normal elbows nice stifles well set ears nice big eyes, no eye issues correct scissor bite.Our Dogs are well built long legs very balanced, not heavy but athletic with nice ridges .We breed for gorgeous faces wonderful disposition our lines are fantastic with children. Genetically clear of Degenerative myelopathy, juvenile epilepsy , dermoid sinus and so far no tumors or cancer . We can not stop  new owners from introducing the pups into an unsafe environment   parvo ,lepto ,corona can be brought into your home by various ways, as in dog parks beaches contaminated homes ground ,can be brought in on bottom of shoes .It is our responsibility though that We never let a pup go to new home sick ! Clean bill of health.

Once you have decided to get on our waiting have given us a deposit which is Non-refundable.

It takes time to feed care for each litter a lot of planning training love is put into this .We make sure each family is perfect for our pups . When deciding to put deposit make final choice your expected to follow through we do not again refund deposits .You have a choice to forward to next litter if its a timing thing. If you should change your mind and decide to go with another breeder you loose deposit or again can still get a pup from us as a companion for pup. Breeders spend a lot of  time energy money preparing  each litter . Exceptions can be made so communication honesty is important. 

In situations that females do not take or have false pregnancy you will have the option to wait until next cycle or we can breed the next female inplace of . We are not able to control  nature its beyond our ability to make things always go perfect .During those times we ask patience .In return we will work out something maybe some $$$ of your baby . 

If you are not sure about a pup you should not give out deposits or make plans with a  breeder ,we have a lot of work that goes into this planning vets,special food raw goats milk , raw meats made into pate that can cost huge money .The mothers are fed special as well as Puppies are fed quality raw diets ,they are potty trained taught  manners ,loved and each pup knows how to behave . We want your baby to come to your home confident strong healthy.

we purchase raw goat milk ahead of time special raw  blend of meats .we spend days into hour s hands on care .

Its exausting  rewarding and worth it all ,love seeing the  babies find their forever homes. Once the babies is picked out if then  If you have money problems have to move changed date we can push deposit to next litter. 

Here at Des Star we want you to be happy with puppy and in all our years of this we have had wonderful matches .

Our next litters are due in spring 2021  with covid we have decided to be careful and wait to breed early spring . We must respect those who want to wait and those who are ill with virus .

We have commitments to some and will honor them first .
